Daytona BeachDaytona Beach ==> The BeachThe beach is more than just a sidenote in Daytona's motorsports legacy. Back in the 1930's, it was racing on the sand at Daytona that led to the birth of stock car racing and eventually, NASCAR.Although the speed limit is now 10 mph and you're not allowed on the firmest sand (right next to the water), you can ride a Harley on the beach. It makes for a nice photo opp but, a better plan is to rent a golf cart, ATV, beach bicycle, or surfboard. |
